APA 7 results formatter
for your dissertation.
Choose your analysis, enter the numbers from your output, and copy a results sentence with the italics, leading zeros, and decimal places APA 7 expects. The formatter also recomputes the p value from your test statistic and flags numbers that don't agree.
WHAT IT CHECKS
The details committees mark up.
- Italics: statistical symbols such as t, F, p, r, M, and SD are italicized; Greek letters such as η² are not. “Copy formatted” keeps the italics when you paste into Word or Google Docs.
- Leading zeros: statistics that can exceed 1, such as t, F, and Cohen's d, keep the zero (0.57); those that can't, such as p, r, and η², drop it (.033).
- p values: exact to three decimals, and p < .001 for smaller values, never p = .000.
- Consistency: the formatter recomputes p from your t, F, or χ² and its degrees of freedom and warns you when the reported value doesn't match, one of the most common errors in results chapters.
- Plain text and LaTeX: copy options for other editors.
